Zonal Geranium Care in Florida – How I Grow Healthy, Colorful Blooms

🌸 Getting Started with Zonal Geraniums

Welcome to North Port Blooms.

I’m starting things off with one of my favorite plants—the zonal geranium. The variety I’m working with right now features white petals with soft pink centers, blooming in tight clusters above deep green foliage.

These plants don’t just look good—they’re reliable growers here in North Port, Florida.

🌱 Geranium Care Tips That Actually Work

Here’s exactly how I care for my geraniums to keep them strong and blooming:

  • Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix
  • Water: Keep the soil moist, but never soggy
  • Sunlight: Full sun to partial shade
  • Fertilizer: Feed lightly once you see active growth

The key is balance—too much water is worse than not enough.

🌼 Building My Geranium Collection

Right now, I’m focused on propagation.

I’m taking cuttings and building up inventory so I can offer strong, healthy plants later on. Nothing is for sale yet—but it’s coming.

Here are the colors I’m currently growing:

  • Neon pink
  • Deep pink
  • Pure white
  • Orange
  • Lavender
  • Dark red
  • Peach
  • White with pink center

My goal is simple: more color, stronger plants, and better results with every round.

🙏 Final Thought

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;” — Colossians 3:23 (KJV)

That’s the standard behind every plant I grow.
